Creating a new Crate

Description: This recipe guides you through creating a minimal RO-Crate from scratch using NovaCrate.

Ingredients:

• Web browser
• Access to the NovaCrate web application

Steps:

1. Open NovaCrate in your browser.
2. Select New RO-Crate.
3. Enter a name for your crate.
4. Add a short description.
5. Click on Create to generate a minimal RO-Crate.
6. Review the generated metadata in the Entity Editor.
7. Optionally open the Entity Graph to inspect the initial crate structure.
8. Click Save to store your changes.

Servings: A newly created RO-Crate containing the basic metadata structure and ready to be extended with research data and metadata.
